🚶‍♂️ 25th Trails of Contrabando 2026

The 25th Trails of Contrabando is a linear hiking event on March 28, 2026, between Salavessa (Montalvão) in Portugal and Cedillo in Spain. Organized by INIJOVEM – Association for Youth Initiatives of Nisa, this unique experience crosses stunning natural landscapes and traditional paths, including a boat crossing on the Sever River.

The 16 km route is rated very difficult (IV), with steep elevation changes, offering a challenge for nature lovers and trekkers. Open to all, including children with parental authorization, the event provides transfers, marked trails, refreshments, lunch, and medical support, ensuring a well-organized and welcoming atmosphere.

The linear course starts in Salavessa and finishes in Cedillo, crossing trails, footpaths, and rural roads of high environmental and scenic value. The boat crossing on the Sever River is a special highlight.
