37th Festa do Avante! Race 2026

🏃 The iconic 37th Festa do Avante! Race takes place on September 6, 2026, in Amora, Seixal. Organized by a Committee within the Festa do Avante! Sports Commission, this race offers a unique opportunity for federated or non-federated athletes, clubs, associations, and individuals to gather in a spirit of friendship, solidarity, and passion for running.

The course, certified by the Portuguese Athletics Federation, starts at Avenida Silva Gomes near E-Leclerc and heads towards Quinta da Atalaia, passing near the 25 de Abril stage, then returns to the start area and follows the riverside path to Seixal, finishing back at Avenida Silva Gomes.

This 10 km urban race includes aid stations at 6 km and at the finish. Open to all age groups with male and female categories from juniors to veterans, it offers individual and team prizes, including trophies and Sunday entry to the Festa do Avante! for all finishers.

• 07:30 to 08:30 - Bib collection (for athletes from outside the municipality)
• 09:30 - Race start
• 09:45 - Walking start

🚶 Walking variant There is also a 5 km walk starting at 09:45, open to all participants.
