The 8th edition of ALUT - Algarviana Ultra Trail takes place from November 26 to 29, 2026, organized by ATR - Algarve Trail Running. This is an ultra trail running event that covers almost entirely the Via Algarviana, offering a unique extreme challenge experience in the Algarve nature.

The course is approximately 305 km long with over 8,500 meters of elevation gain. It starts at the Alcoutim pier at 14:30 on November 26 and finishes in Sagres. The race requires semi-self-sufficiency with mandatory passage through aid stations providing food, drinks, medical assistance, and logistical support.
