The AQUAE BRUNHEIRO TRAIL RUNNING is an exciting trail running event taking place on September 19-20, 2026 in Chaves, organized by Associação Lobos do Brunheiro de Chaves. This is the 3rd edition of a race that covers stunning trails of Serra do Brunheiro, finishing in the historic city of Chaves. The event scores points for major national and international circuits including the ATRP National Ultra Trail, Trail, Trail Sprint and Youth Trail circuits, as well as UTMB and ITRA Index.

The race starts in the village of Vilar de Nantes and finishes in Chaves city, featuring mountain trails that challenge athletes with unique natural scenery. The organization ensures well-marked routes and control points for safety and accurate timing.
