Aquathlon of São João da Madeira

🚀 Aquathlon of São João da Madeira 2026

The Aquathlon of São João da Madeira is an exciting event combining swimming and running, organized by Associação Estamos Juntos in partnership with the São João da Madeira City Council and supported by the Portuguese Triathlon Federation. This edition features the Northern Youth Championship and an Open Race, offering adapted distances for young athletes and general participants.

The swimming segment takes place at the São João da Madeira Outdoor Municipal Pools, and the running segment occurs on city streets and avenues, with start and finish near the pools. The swimming course is circular and marked, with in-water starts, while the running course is a flat urban circuit.

🏔️ Variants Northern Youth Championship (distances adapted by age group):

• Benjamins: 50m swim + 400m run
• Infants: 100m swim + 800m run
• Beginners: 200m swim + 1,000m run
• Juveniles: 300m swim + 2,000m run
• Cadets: distances per technical regulations

Open Race (juvenile distances):

• 300m swim + 2,000m run

⏰ Schedule Sunday, 24 May 2026:

• 13:30–14:30 — Registration desk (Outdoor Pools)
• 13:40–14:40 — Check-in and technical verification at Transition Area
• 14:45 — Transition Area closes and coaches meeting
• 15:00 — Race start by age group and gender
• 17:00 — Equipment pick-up
• 18:30 — Awards ceremony

🎽 Registration includes Participation and classification, solid and liquid refreshments in recovery zone, personal accident insurance.

🏆 Prizes Individual trophies for top 3 male and female finishers in each Northern Youth Championship category and top 3 overall in Open Race. Club trophies for Northern Youth Championship.
