🚀 Challenge your limits at Backyard Ultra Fronteiros de Chaves 2026!

The 1st edition of this unique event takes place on June 20, 2026, at the Infantry Regiment No. 19 Military Barracks in Chaves. Organized by Associação Lobos do Brunheiro de Chaves, with support from the Infantry Regiment No. 19 and the Municipality of Chaves, this challenge is inspired by Lazarus Lake's format, testing endurance and strategy in an ultra endurance race.

The course is a 6.706 km loop with hourly starts. The goal is to complete each lap in under an hour, resting the remaining time before the next start. The winner is the last athlete to complete a lap alone within the time limit. For those seeking shorter challenges, there are 1, 3, and 6 lap variants.

The course is marked and prepared for night running with tape and lighting. Start and finish are at the Military Barracks, with solid and liquid refreshments including soups and pasta from the 7th lap. The race is self-supported during laps, with assistance allowed only in the rest area.
