🚀 II Euskal Backyard Ultra Loiu 2026

The II Euskal Backyard Ultra is a unique endurance running event held in Loiu, Bizkaia, organized by Kukulu Mendi Kluba and the Loiu City Council. This official event of the World Backyard Ultra Calendar features two modalities: Ultra and Marathon, on a circular mountain circuit challenging runners to complete laps of 6.706 km with 190 m elevation gain.

The course combines trails, paths, and tracks (70%) with asphalt (30%), starting and finishing at the Zabaloetxe municipal fronton. The Ultra modality starts on Friday, July 3rd at 21:00 and continues until only one runner remains, while the Marathon modality, perfect for those wanting to try the Backyard format, consists of 6 laps and starts on Saturday, July 4th at 9:00.

The race follows Backyard Ultra rules, with one-hour laps and semi-self-sufficiency. The organization provides progressive aid stations and a life base with all necessary services.

🎽 Registration includes Personalized bib, chip, liability and accident insurance, access to life base with aid stations, participant bag with commemorative garment, showers and toilets, reserved parking, and prize draws.

• Individual Champion: Trophy, Txapela, Makila and €300
• Assistant: Trophy and €150
• Woman with most laps: Trophy, Txapela and €300
• Teams: Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
• Local residents with most laps: Trophies
• Lap record: €500 for man and woman who set new record

Marathon Modality:

• 1st Man and 1st Woman: Trophy
