🚵 IV Trail do Cerco 2026 in Celorico da Beira

The IV Trail do Cerco is a trail running event organized by the Municipality of Celorico da Beira with technical support from AVCAT - Associação Vila Chã Aldeia Trail de Portugal. It is the 7th stage of the Beira Alta Trail Circuit 2026, part of the annual Santa Eufemia festivities, attracting athletes from various regions for a nature challenge.

The routes mainly run through trails, rural paths, dirt roads, and streams around villages near Celorico da Beira. The terrain is mountainous with significant elevation changes, offering a technical and challenging experience. The race is semi-self-sufficient; athletes must carry their own water container as there are no cups at aid stations.

• Short Trail – ±14 km · Start 09:15 · Cutoff 3h · Minimum age 18 (under 14 with parental consent)
• Mini Trail – ±9 km · Start 09:40 · Minimum age 11 (with parental consent)
• Walking – ±9 km · Start 09:40 · Recreational participation

• 08:45 – Control 0 opens (entry to start area at Jardim Santa Eufêmia)
• 08:50 – Briefing
• 09:00 – Long Trail start
• 09:15 – Short Trail start
• 09:40 – Mini Trail and Walking start
• 13:00 – Course closure
• 14:30 – Awards ceremony and closing

🎽 Registration includes Sports insurance, lunch, bib (for running races), solid and liquid aid stations, trophies and medals for classified athletes, finisher gift, event souvenir, and other gifts.

🏆 Prizes Trophies for top 3 overall M/F in Long, Short, and Mini Trails; diplomas for 4th and 5th overall; medals for top 3 by age group M/F (Youth Circuit).
