The IV Trail Vale do Homem is a trail running event organized by the Associação e Freguesias do Vale do Homem with the collaboration of Vila Verde a Correr and several local parishes. It takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026. This event stands out for its route through the parishes of Vila Verde municipality, offering a unique experience on riverside trails with medium to medium/high difficulty.

The courses start at different points: Valdreu for the Long Trail, Oriz Leisure Area for the Short Trail, and Coucieiro for the Walk, all finishing in Sabariz at the Espaço da Festa do Caldo do Pote. The race is semi-self-sufficient, so each athlete must bring their own hydration container as no cups will be provided at aid stations.

• 07:40 – Final instructions from organizers
• 07:45 – Bus departure to start points
• 08:45 – Long Trail start
• 09:30 – Short Trail and Walk start
• 12:30 – Awards ceremony (Long and Short Trail)
• 14:00 – Event closes

🎽 Registration includes Bib, event t-shirt, solid and liquid refreshments along the course, sports insurance, timing chip (except for walk), course marking and cleaning, finisher prize, hot showers, transport to finish line if abandoning, and photo coverage.

🏆 Prizes All finishers of Long and Short Trail will be awarded, plus top 3 in each category (male and female): SUB 23, SENIOR, M40, M50, M60+. Prizes for largest team (min 3 athletes) and best ranked team.
