On October 4, 2026, the charming village of Roriz, Santo Tirso, hosts the IX Trail dos Carreteiros, a trail running event blending history, nature, and physical challenge. Organized by Associação RorizAventura, it invites athletes and nature lovers to run along trails and rural paths once used by the historic carreteiros.

The race starts at the Roriz Leisure Park, featuring technical trails, local roads, and rural paths crossing cultural and heritage sites. The event is semi-competitive with timed controls and individual bibs for trail participants.
