Get ready for the 48th São João das Lampas Half Marathon, the second oldest half marathon in Portugal, known for its challenging and selective carousel profile, yet loved by many. Organized by the Sports Dynamization Group with support from the São João das Lampas Parish Council and Sintra Municipality, this event takes place on September 12, 2026, at 5 PM.

The race is held on roads with start and finish in São João das Lampas, passing through notable locations such as A-do-Longo, Areias, M.Cabeça, Alvarinhos, Odrinhas, Amoreira, Monte Arroio, Bolelas, Sacário, Pernigem, Fachada, Chilreira, Codiceira, Ribeira de Rio de Cões, and Alfaquiques. The course is 21.097 km long and known for its demanding carousel profile.
