About the Event

🏔️ Trail Boneca Douro 2026

Discover the natural beauty and challenging trails of Serra da Boneca and the Douro River Valley in this trail running event combining adventure, unique landscapes, and a welcoming atmosphere in Penafiel.

Organized by the Associação para o Desenvolvimento de Sebolido, this is the 8th edition in 2026. The event stands out for its connection to nature, local history, and a technical, varied trail running experience suitable for different athlete levels.

The route passes through Serra da Boneca, Rio Mau valley, Banjas Caves, Preserved Village of Cabroelo, Boneca Viewpoint and Swing, and the shores of the Douro River. Athletes face mountainous trails with significant elevation gain, in a semi-self-sufficient format requiring participants to bring their own hydration containers as no disposable cups or bottles are provided.
