Trail Porta do Gião is an unmissable event organized by the Vale Parish Council, in collaboration with the Social and Parish Center of Vale, the Parish of Vale, and the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. Part of the Festivities of Nossa Senhora do Vale 2026, this race invites you to discover the stunning trails of Serra do Gião, a site rich in archaeological and natural heritage within the Peneda-Gerês National Park.

The competitive trail route is approximately 16 km long, running through mountainous trails with unique landscapes and a challenging mountain environment. The 10 km walk is a great opportunity to enjoy nature and local culture, accessible to all, including accompanied children.

• Trail 16 km – Start 09:30 · From 18 years old · Registration €15 until 22/03/2026
• Walk 10 km – Start 09:40 · Open, minors accompanied · Registration €10 until 22/03/2026

⏰ Schedule

• 08:00 – Registration desk opens (Parish Hall next to Vale Church)
• 09:20 – Registration desk closes
• 09:30 – Trail 16 km start
• 09:40 – Walk 10 km start
• 12:00 – Awards ceremony

🎽 Registration includes Personalized bib, chip timing, solid and liquid refreshments (bring your own cup), showers, possible gifts, and personal accident insurance.

🏆 Prizes Cash prizes for the top 3 overall male and female finishers in the Trail (€100, €50, €25). Trophies for the top 3 in each age category and for the top 3 teams (based on the sum of the 3 best times).
