About the Event

🏔️ Trans Peneda-Gerês 2026

Discover a unique adventure in the heart of Peneda-Gerês National Park! This trail running event offers challenges for all levels, with distances from 25km to 115km, set in a stunning natural environment.

Organized by Carlos Sá Nature Events® in partnership with the Municipalities of Terras de Bouro and Montalegre, the event takes place from May 1 to 3, 2026. It features technical and mountainous trails ideal for experienced athletes seeking a high-mountain challenge.

The courses run on marked technical trails with significant altitude changes and variable weather conditions. Start and finish locations vary by distance, including Vila do Gerês, Montalegre, and Pitões das Júnias. The race requires semi-self-sufficiency; athletes must bring their own hydration containers as no plastic cups are provided.
