Fontelo Triathlon

🚴‍♂️ Fontelo Triathlon 2026

The Fontelo Triathlon is a vibrant youth competition jointly organized by Associação Os Infantes de Viseu and the Municipality of Viseu, with technical support from the Portuguese Triathlon Federation. Held on October 17, 2026, this event features the Northern Youth Championship and an open race, offering distances adapted to young age groups.

The races take place at the Municipal Pools and the Mata do Fontelo Sports Park in Viseu, with swimming in a 25m pool, cycling on mixed dirt and asphalt trails, and running on asphalt and tartan track. The event is carefully organized to ensure safety and fun, with solid and liquid refreshments at the finish and recovery zone.

• Youth Triathlon – Distances adapted by age group (Benjamins to Cadets) · Start 14:00 · Ages 7 to 17
• Super Sprint Triathlon – Juvenile distances · Start 14:00 · Ages 18+ (Open race)

⏰ Schedule Saturday, October 17:

• 12:20–13:20 — Registration (Municipal Pools of Viseu)
• 12:30–13:30 — Check-in and technical verification
• 13:45 — Technical meeting with coaches
• 14:00 — Race start
• 17:00 — Transition area check-out
• 17:30 — Awards ceremony

🎽 Registration includes Participation and classification, solid and liquid refreshments, personal accident insurance, event souvenir.

🏆 Prizes Individual trophies for the top 3 male and female athletes in each category, and team trophies for the top 5 clubs in the Youth Triathlon. Trophies for the top 3 absolute male and female athletes in the Super Sprint Triathlon.
