About the Event

🏔️ VI Trail Run Real Priolo 2026

The VI Trail Run Real Priolo is a flagship trail running event taking place on April 18, 2026, on São Miguel Island, Nordeste municipality, Azores. Organized by Clube Desportivo e Cultural Juventude Ilha Verde (JIV) in partnership with the Municipality of Nordeste and Centro Desportivo e Recreativo de Nordeste, this 6th edition is part of the National Trail Sprint and Trail Circuit, certified by the Portuguese Trail Running Association (ATRP), and is included in the UTMB World Series.

This event stands out for its connection to nature, culture, and environmental sustainability, offering new routes and challenges on unique trails with stunning landscapes of Nordeste. Besides competitive races, there is a 10 km walk open to all.

The courses cross trails, agricultural and forest paths, and streams, with starts at iconic locations such as the Antennas near Miradouro Salto de Cavalo and Casa Base do Pico da Vara, finishing at the Nordeste Town Hall. The event requires athlete autonomy between aid stations providing food and drinks, with electronic timing control.
