What is the event schedule?

The registration desk opens on September 25 at 5 PM and closes at 9 PM. On the 26th, races start at 3 PM and end with the awards ceremony at 8:30 PM.

Registrations are done online via the WAITASTART platform, available from January 6 to September 18, 2026.

Where does the event take place?

The event takes place in Vila Franca das Naves, municipality of Trancoso, Guarda district, with start and finish at the Volunteer Firefighters' headquarters.

What equipment is mandatory?

Bib, whistle, thermal blanket, functional mobile phone, headlamp, liquid reservoir, cup/mug, backpack or belt are mandatory for the trail races.

🚒 Trilhos dos Heróis 2026

Trilhos dos Heróis is a trail running event organized by the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila Franca das Naves, taking place on September 26, 2026. This challenging and community-driven race offers multiple distances for all levels, including a walking option, set in stunning natural landscapes in the municipality of Trancoso, Guarda district.

The start and finish are at the Vila Franca das Naves Firefighters' Headquarters, with routes crossing trails and rural paths, providing an authentic and demanding nature experience. The organization favors technical and fun trails, with significant elevation gain and strict time controls.

🎽 Registration includes Bib, sports insurance, solid and liquid refreshments at aid stations, hot showers after the race, finisher prize for all races, awards for general and age group classifications, final refreshments, and transfer possibilities.

🏆 Prizes Trophies for top 3 overall male and female finishers in Long and Short Trail races, prizes for top 3 in each age group, prizes for the 3 largest teams. The walking event offers a finisher prize.
