Registration opens Saturday at 07:00 and closes at 22:00. On Sunday, it opens at 06:45 and closes at 08:00. Starts begin at 08:30.

The race takes place in Monte Francisco, Castro Marim municipality, Algarve, with start and finish at the local sports hall.

What equipment is mandatory?

Athletes must carry visible bib, charged mobile phone, whistle, minimum 0.5L liquid container and drinking vessel, thermal blanket for Trail.

Discover the natural beauty of the Sotavento Algarve with the 5th Trail do Moleiro, a race that takes you through rural trails and challenging paths in the picturesque village of Monte Francisco, Castro Marim. Organized by Equipa de Trail and Clube Campesino R.F.C., this event celebrates nature, sport, and camaraderie.

Monte Francisco lies next to the Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António Natural Reserve, close to stunning beaches and the Castro Marim Golf Country Club. This is the 5th edition of the Trail do Moleiro, honoring local history and the legendary miller Francisco, offering a unique trail running and walking experience.

Courses include trails, rural paths, streams, and avoid paved roads as much as possible. Start and finish are at the Monte Francisco football sports hall. The race is semi-self-supported, with solid and liquid aid stations but no cups provided – athletes must bring their own containers.
